Quick answers

When should I stop and get professional help with "Storage full: what's safe to delete"?

Stop and get help if: Space fills up again quickly with no new files (could be a runaway app or malware). The drive is small (64-128 GB) and always full. Ask about a larger SSD. Boise Computer Care can diagnose it for a $60 fee; call 208-996-3508.

How long does this fix take and how hard is it?

Plan on 15-30 min. Difficulty: Easy.

Is it safe to try this myself?

Mostly, if you follow these precautions: Never delete files in C:\Windows, Program Files, or System32 by hand. Empty the Recycle Bin only after checking nothing important is inside. Don't use 'registry cleaners'; they don't free meaningful space and can break things.
