Sounds like this?
- Device doesn't appear in the Bluetooth list
- Pairs but disconnects
- Mouse lags or stutters
- Bluetooth toggle missing
Step by step
- Replace or charge the batteries. Low power is the top cause of lag and dropouts.
- Put the device in pairing mode (usually hold the pairing or connect button until a light blinks). Check the device's manual.
- Windows: Settings › Bluetooth & devices. Make sure Bluetooth is On. If the device was paired before, Remove it, then Add device › Bluetooth.
- Mac: System Settings › Bluetooth. Remove the device (the
i
button › Forget) and pair again. - Move the device within 3 feet and away from USB 3 hubs, Wi-Fi routers, and metal desks, which can interfere.
- If the Bluetooth toggle is missing, restart, then check Device Manager › Bluetooth for errors and update the driver from your PC maker.
- If the device came with a USB receiver (Logitech Unifying/Bolt), plug that in instead of using Bluetooth.
